Thank god I don't use Amazon Prime. How the mighty fall, from Prime Time BBC to obscurity it one petulant hissy fit.

James May was quite good though. I hope he does some more James May Toy Stories. They were pretty decent :)

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Not sure I'd quite call it 'prime time to obscurity', given that many people watched it on iPlayer not on live TV, and that iPlayer viewing numbers are falling quite heavily in light of both the lack of Top Gear and increasing competition from Netflix/Prime/Now etc.  With so many people having Prime and the service offering expanding all the time (add free music to your free next day postage, ebook library and TV/film streaming) I expect that Prime will continue to grow rapidly and become quite a 'prime time' (pun intended) player.

TG was watched by about 2.6 million people every month on iPlayer  which made it the most viewed show on the platform.  Take it from one and put it on another platform and you've made quite a dent in the viewing figures whichever way you crunch the numbers.

After TG went off air, BBC's tv viewing numbers dropped by 4m (from the maximum 5.6m that viewed the final ever TG episode on live tv) which I am guessing puts their current tv viewing numbers in the 'obscurity' and not the 'prime time' column?

Would of thought sky would have given them a show, that's a missed chance I think.

Strictly speaking they were unable to make another car show for another broadcaster for 2 years. They've dodged that by going to a streaming service.
