I thought it would be a good idea to share mini-maps that show the names of call out spots on various maps. The idea came about because a certain person thought we were just making up some of these ludicrous names, as if we'd do that! :P

You can actually replace the in-game mini-map/radar too, so it actually dispays the names while playing, as you can see in this link. It is not considered cheating (No VAC ban), and it is simple. All you have to do is put the premade files (a .dds file which is the map image, and a txt file which sets coordinates etc) into your "CS:GO /resource/overview" folder.
The link has nothing to do with me by the way, I take no credit for it. But if there is enough interest in these custom mini-maps then Pesteh has kindly offered to make some for any missing or custom maps. Including de_astute which is a custom map recently added to the server, I believe made by a DMW member (sorry I'm not exactly sure who!).

Anyway below you can find some maps by a guy called Froosh, which shows most of the common names (From this link). I have made them into spoilers (so just click to reveal them) as they are quite big. And bear in mind it might not have all the names, and sometimes they have more than one name!
And feel free to join in and post more maps if you find them, and also add any other names! :)

Excellent idea, I'll make sure to have a look at these so I know what to call the place with the thing next to the guy.

It's like when someone says 'what's that map with the big building and a car park? Can we play that next?'

'You know, the one with two bombsites'

Good post though.

My path is F:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\resource\overviews

Baring in mind you probably have a different drive letter, normally C: by default.

More likely it starts as "C:\Program Files\Steam...." or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam...."

Might even be other differences, but probably not? But it all depends on where you installed steam if you didn't chose the default location!

So firstly find your steam folder. Then games are always installed in the 'SteamApps\Common' folder. And don't do the mistake I made when looking for something once, that theres actually that 'csgo' folder within the 'Counter-Strike Global Offensive' folder.

And the 'overviews' folder should be at the end of that path, you shouldn't have to create it yourself as all the other mini-map overlays are there for the common maps (At least they seem to be for me). But correct me if I'm wrong! If it isn't there though at that exact location, try creating it yourself, won't do any harm.
So each map has a .dds and .txt - So for example you will already see maps there, or paste in your own files that look like:
cs_italy.txt
cs_italy_radar.dds
de_dust2.txt
de_dust2_radar.dds

and so on...

Rambly, but I hope that helps!

Edit: Blunt beat me to it since he didn't ramble away :P

Also, you'll already have files of those names in the overview folder, so you'll want to say 'yes' to the overwrite request.
