Go into properties, in the Betas tab select "Unstable" and you will get the latest Beta with net code.

At the moment there are only the servers they have started, but they will be releasing stand alone server code once they are finished testing.

They're on 0.44 now.

Nope, I suspect they actually might be trying to sell the VR version separate from the normal EA version. Shameful.
