Escape from Tarkov

I had some fun games of EFT with Gorliath this weekend and also my bro and I ran a few missions and came out with some nice gear.

What I am realizing is the game is far more about map knowledge, stealth, communication and tactics. Not so much about who can fire fastest.

As I get into the game there are missions and personal objectives appearing. Also as more is spent with the in game traders rep is gained and items can be purchased with loot from missions. For sure there is a lot to this game.

Lastly, the weapon modification system is simply superb. Although you can't hoard gear, the space to store it makes it difficult. It's actually far better just to get into the game and use gear and in doing so you are more likely to enjoy the game and survive. The AI is also deadly, you have to be careful. The interesting thing is there are more AI out there than people, and it's not possible to ell the difference other than by learning spawn points and watching the movement characteristics of the AI to determine or not if they are actually players. On these maps being a decent size, you may only get 2 or as much as 12 other humans in the game, it depends on the map. So it's certainly no frag fest (Factory can be actually, it's a smaller map but still quite large).

This game has actually pulled me away from BF1,  quite an achievement to be honest!

It's one of those games that seems to totally draw you in,  it's not cheap, but I think it's got a lot of hours of game play potential.

Yes it's rather insane the fee for credit cards or PayPal. I used the local Dutch payment system and the fee was like 5p. The sale was 25% discount so it just got rid of the VAT and fee.

It's a beta tax I think.

I've been raiding pretty highly kitted out in a team of 3 recently and that is so much fun.

Get a PACA vest, a blackrock tac, visor helmet, duffel or backpack and an AK of some sort. Its easy to replace all that gear with heavy stuff as a team.
