I'm almost certainly driving up on Wednesday at some point and driving back on Sunday afternoon. I'll drive right past Luton or Stanstead depending on route, so could pick up from either.
Heathrow is about 15 miles in the wrong direction for me, but if someone is desperate I could detour .

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Gortex

Ok lots of things checked out and I will be definatly driving up to March on Thursday. I will be passing Heathrow so am very happy to pick people up and drop back np.

I can fit 4 in but not baggage as well so put me down to pick 2 up and return.

Guys this is what I am still struggling to organise -

Heathrow 10:50 arrival Thursday, 17:30 departure Sunday - 2 people both ways.

Heathrow Sunday 17:30 departure - 2 people.

Stansted Sunday 13:00 departure - 2 people.

Please let me know if you can help. In particular we need transport confirmed for the Stansted departure pair as their flight time is quite early in the day.

Fyi noticed I'm not on the Standsted list so posting again: I'll will arrive to Stansted at 8:05 on Friday and my flight leaves at 17:50 on Sunday, if no one can do it I'm sure there is a train I can take since the train station aint to far away and just a short drive away, just need to know what one :)
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

Chaosphere

Doh, sorry Hal my fault for missing you off. I'll edit the top post when I'm next home. Happy to come get you from March again if you do end up taking the train in.

Dex goes to Uni next weekend, so I should know shortly after that what I am able to help with (or not help with).

Thanks TL, still 4 weeks to go so people can hold off on train tickets for now, I'd say.

I've updated the top post with Hal added to it.

Still plenty of need for good Samaritans people :D

I am still hoping to drive (and could then do Stansted Sunday drop offs) but it depends on hire car price. Right now it's annoyingly high - it usually drops 30-40% on short (1 or 2 weeks) notice. Given that I'll likely only firm up my own train/drive plan towards end Sept. I'd suggest people shouldn't worry about train tickets until then either :flirty: you like gambling right?

P.s. If I do end up driving I could get Faust to London (I go back to Angel/Islington) and Hal and Sixthor could go to stansted later with Ghosty? Assuming you guys plus kit will all ram into a standard car ...and assuming Faust doesn't mind leaving earlier :D

Cool monkey, let us know when you can mate.

Would be better if you could fit Albert and/or Duvel in, as they both have early departures from Stansted. Faust and six I already have covered.

I'm focussing more on getting people to the LAN right now, and those early departures who would struggle with a Sunday morning train.

Hi Chaos,

I'll be driving over from Bristol on the Thursday and back on the Sunday (not early) so can still fit 2 people in each way from anywhere en route if that still useful?

Chaosphere

Transport list at top has been updated.

Only thing we need now is a drop off on Sunday @ Stansted for a plane time of 13:00, albert & Duv.

Can anyone help with this return journey?

Penfold

That's an early start on Sunday and I know there are no direct trains that early.

If no one is around I'm sure you guys have through about hiring a car for the four days. Europcar are really cheap, it's something like £50 for that duration (£25 each). Not ideal I know but I'm not sure what other options there'll be if no one is leaving that early?

I'd also point out that Stansted is really crap at the moment. They've increased passenger numbers exponentially over the last six months and the infrastructure just isn't in place to accommodate. I'd therefore give yourselves extra time to get through bag drop and passport control.

Chaosphere

Good advice, Pen.

I've managed to sort one early Stansted already (thanks Jewelz), but there isn't any more room in that car :/

Anyone else fancy an early start Sunday?

Chaosphere

Ok so Gortex can do the early Stansted run on the Sunday. Is there someone that can do a Heathrow run in his place? 2 people, plane at 17:50.
