Are there still bots in casual matches?

Like the title says. When I first tried out pubg, Me and my squad were matched against bots all the time. It was 2 or 3 years ago? Don't remember exactly, but the experience that I got from those matches seemed like a waste of time. Are they still matching first-timers against the bots?
