i was downloading them from server while no one was on it as we had an away cz game. i did dl them from the direct link and then when i asked where to put em TL told me to dl from server

Sheepster - it really is quite simple - open the zip folder and read the directory note on the righthand column - that tells you the path into which it will unpack the files.

For example, the dust4ever zip shows paths of cstrike\maps\

This tells you it wants to be unzipped into the steam folder that contains the cstrike folder. Unzip all files into that folder, making sure the 'Use Folder Names' is checked - this will ensure that the files then get put into the correct folder.

Follow the same procedure for the other zip packs.

My method if I'm not sure is to unzip them to a temp folder and then copy them manually to the correct locations which is usually obvious from the unzipped folder structure

That's how I got all the maps and it worked like a charme. For a few files you have to watch out though because 1 whole map should be placed in a sub-map.

im still trying to get themaps!!!! the server has been set so there is no time limit on the maps so they dont change!"!!!!!! and i have the one its stuck on!!! still needing barhain and to actaully get on to dust4ever!

the server is set on mr12

so you need to wait untill ct wins 12 rounds

If you are having trouble then use the zip file download links posted by Blueball earlier in this thread. As he pointed out, they will also be faster as they are compressed zip files as opposed to an uncompressed data feed.

Ok no probs. At the moment I may have to stop playing at 4.00pm anyway as I'm djing at 4.30. Its a paying gig so I can't say no.

Sorry coulnnt make it earlier err cant make 11:00 i should be back at 12:30 as ive been looped into setting up a marque for my sister pah family so put a standby on call just in case tho im 99 percent i should be there.
