1) A mother and father have six sons and each son has one sister. How many people are in that family?

2) Kevin is 14 inches taller than George. The difference between Kevin and Richard is two inches less than between Richard and George. Kevin at 6'6" is the tallest. How tall are Richard and George ?

3) Mom, Dad, and 2 kids have come to a river, and they find a boat. It is small and can only carry one adult or 2 kids at a time. Both kids are good rowers, but how can the whole family reach the other side of the river?

4) Cathy has six pairs of black gloves and six pairs of brown gloves in her drawer. In complete darkness, how many gloves must she take from the drawer in order to be sure to get a pair that match?

5) Before Mt. Everest was discovered, what was the tallest mountain in the world?

2)Kevin 6'6, Richard 6'0, George 5'4
3)Both kids row across. Kid One rows back. Parent One rows across. Kid Two rows the boat back. Now Parent One is across the river and both kids are back with Parent Two. Repeat to get Parent Two across. Then both kids row across. Done with Child labourâ,,¢!
4)She must atke out Three gloves to be sure to have a pair that match
5)Mt. Everest was still the tallest (doesn't change it's height when discovered )

it's only 3 gloves... (edit:depends if you count left and right handed gloves as well as colour I guess... or if they are of the ambidextrous variety! bugger!)
If you pick out 2 gloves you might have a pair of black gloves, a pair of brown gloves or you might have a black one and a brown one. The third glove is going to be either black or brown... so you'll have a matching pair after three gloves. If you count left and right handedness and colour, then the answer is 13...

...I'm pretty sure my other answers are correct. Please PM with what I have gotten wrong. Then I can laugh at someone, probably myself (though you never know...), for being stupid

yes 13 is the answer  She could possibly take out 6 black left hand gloves and then 6 brown left hand gloves, the next one would have to be either the right hand or left hand match. enjoy
