OK, somehow I have become a Level 18 Mage but I really need some help on the instruction front.  Are there any decent guides anywhere to read and help understand what I can (options and controls) and should do (like Bunce's last tip)?  All I end up doing at the moment is joining a party, killing a few monsters, levelling up and then leaving after a while  :unsure:

welcome to glory that is an MMO.  imo, they are all glorified chat channels.

Perhaps helpful information:

To start with perhaps play the game as a window... This does require more mouse movement as there’s no setting for how fast scrolling is, but this way you are able to keep MSN up and visible, meaning you are able to communicate with external sources if, like me, you have not got a working microphone or team speak installed/working. It’s another means of managing to meet up with others in order to get clanned.

I'm going to create the clan with my Priest Character, he's level 20 but at the moment only has 300k+, I’ve setup a stand today just to sell some crap which will hopefully sell and give me a couple of coins. Otherwise, would someone be able to perhaps give me some of their money in order to get the clan started? (My MSN address is in profile btw)

Sadly, quest items are not able to be traded peer2peer, but I have a funny feeling they might be able to be bought from a stand... I’d like to test this with someone later... Anyone who needs some bulture horns or something alike please let me know and we'll meet up.

Main first step quests:
5 Silk Bundles - These can be traded. I have lots so just ask if you HAVE just started. This is the Beginners Quest from Proconsul(304,354). You don’t get much, but something’s better than nothing. You get a dagger and some exp I think.

5 Bandicoot Teeth - These are for Captain Kunabarl in Moradon (460,300), you only get 200 exp but hey. This is where I’m interested to find out if quest items like these can be "bought" through a stand, I believe they can because I’ve seen them... but never bought them, due to expenses. But if they can, then we can all help each other with quests.

Silan Quest - Take 5 Silan Bones, 5 Iron bars and 50,000 coins to Proconsul in Moradon(304,354) and he'll give you a piece of Silan Armor.
Now I’ve only done this quest once so far, so I’m not sure if you have to or can go back 4 times to get the whole armor set, or whether you get repeats of items.
So, another one to be tested.

Trader Kim quest - Trader Kim in Moradon(350,320). Take a Bulture Horn, a Fang of Wolf Man, and an Or Talisman to him and he'll reward you with 3,000 experience points, Upgrade Scrolls, and Coins. Again, this is a quest I’d like to test with if whether you can buy these items from me from a merchant stand.

Priest Veronica in Shrine of Life - Priest Veronica in Shrine of Life(400,370) At her request, retrieve Zignon’s will from Nashira and she’ll reward you with 3,000 experience points, 10 Water of Grace, and 10 Potion of Sagacity.  This quest is as simple as just finding the people. I can't remember the location of Nashira... but she's in town somewhere.

Guard Trainee Quest - Guard Trainee in Moradon(460,180), take him 5 Bulture Horns and get 5000 exp... Quite simple Bultures aren’t hard when you have a bit of level on you... but if you cba, then lets find out if you can buy the items off me.


Enough of quest info.

Clan side of things:

I'm going to be using my Priest character, as I say, only level 20 at the moment, mainly because really priests need to be with a party.
The best setup... in my opinion anyway.
From my experience so far, I’ve come to decide the Mages are strongest. Rogues are handy also but not as powerful.
I think a mage can go 2 ways, a Fire mage or an Ice mage... if we get a mixture of those 2 then that would be good.
Need some strong warriors... basically the warriors try to keep the damage away from the Rogues, Mages and Priests.

A priest doesn't really do much in way of attack, he may curse some things, but otherwise he/she should be healing all the team.
Healing the warriors while they are close to the enemy and the enemy isn't near the rear attack (Mages, Rogues).

For example, the way I was liking to play it last night.
If you've found out how to teleport to different town, then great. I was in Piana (I think that’s the town), we as a fairly large group were attacking Death Knights, now these buggas can kill in a few hits... so:
Had 1 Mage starting off the attack... he was high enough level to use some spells that slow down the enemy. I was at this point a Rogue, so as soon as he started and chosen his enemy I started, from a separate angle but still fair distance.
Had 2 fairly hard Warriors, who once we'd started, they moved in and in some cases gave a lot of the damage, but the priest was healing them and us. In some cases we didn't get a scratch on us because being a priest and mages are able to do some spells to make the whole party stronger or more defensive... so attacks were stronger. Anyway, when we killed one of these, which didn't take too long, we got about 2200exp each.
There was the question of whether it would be quicker to kill the Smilodons (look like big dogs) which would give us about 1100 each... but I found that we all still need to sit down and regain so might as well attack higher things and be a little damaged but get more exp then kill something quicker (which isn't always the case with the lag)

So in summary... depending how many people are going to be playing...

Need nice number of Mages, Few Warriors to get the high damage in, perhaps a rogue to just help out (using his heal when other are desperate), and then the priest, keeping us healthy.

Can people perhaps post whether they are going to be in the Clan?
So I can see a list of the characters we are going to have?

I have 2 friends who will be joining:
Drinkaholic = Warrior (Level 26 I think)
Essex Girl = Mage (Level 26) (Going for Fire Mage - Perhaps someone can go for Galcier and another Mage for for Lightning)
Bunzel = Priest (Level 20) (I'm going for the Healing side of things - SO perhaps another priest goes for Holy Spirit?)

These are only ideas, just best to be organised in our attacks, rather than all over place and not knowing what each others doing.

Is that teamspeak server up and running yet then?

Btw, I haven't done a quest yet, how do you start them or get them? :unsure:

You go to the character... for example the Trader Kim quest - Trader Kim in Moradon(350,320)

First left click him so he's selected, then right click him... need to be close to him... then follow his instructions...
Once i meet up with you m8... (if you can get me added to msn or icq or something)
