Human Warrior. Spacejelly
Currently level 6 after a few hours of play.

Is it me or are the quests rediculously easy? I guess it's a good thing I suppose for the new players :P

What type of character are you playing and what are the professions you have chosen G?

Gandy,

Have a real look at other characters before you progress any higher.

The Warrior for me is incredibly boring compared to the other characters i have played and i just wished i tried a few out at the very start. Also read up on the WOW website for the abilities of ALL other characters.

The Warior isn't a big damage dealer he just takes all the hits/aggro so that a group can take all the big shots.

I have a lvl 49 Warrior, 24 Hunter and a 13 Rogue
Both the rogue and hunter are far more fun compared to the Warrior who is very limited in what he can do.

Armitage

i agree.

i have a level 40 warrior not doing a lot. i now play most of the time as a hunter

TeaLeaf

My L40 character is a Mage - and it's been good enough to entertain me - I haven't felt the need to try anything else, but Mages work best in a  team as whilst the can deal out massive damage, their armour i spaper thin.   Pally seems to be pretty good too though - they can deal out some damage and can also dish out some healing.  Just need to save enough Gold to buy my horse now......

Think carefully about the Hunter class. In the early game they are great solo characters and can quest alone quite happily. In the later game and in PvP they can be hard to play well.

I don't know how much PvP or raid plays a part in normal PvE realms but on Role Play servers they are an integral part of role play and Guild life. Hunters don't naturally lend themselves to PvP and you have to develope a very specific style of play to use their strengths and aviod their weaknesses. Personally I wouldn't play any other class at the moment but you have to really want to be one to enjoy them later in the game.

Paladins are a nice choice as they have good melee and some excellent spells and buffs. Or if you wanna be Horde try the Shaman who is arguably the strongest class in the game.

Have fun

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

DarkAngel

Id say Squonk has the best character the Rogue i have a:

44 Mage Human
18 Paladin Human
13 Hunter Elf
7 Rogue Human
11 Hunter Tauren
12 Rogue Undead

And i really like the Rogue great fun, the paladin wasnt bad a great support member as it has ressurect, but if i was to start again id go with a Rogue.

Gandalf

cool, thanks for the tips. I looked at the paladin first, but chose the warrior as I like being a tank :D

I've played support classes so much in mmorpgs and have rarely played a warrior so I thought this'll be a nice change.

Anyway, I usually play several different characters at a time to keep em close to each other in levels. I guess I can have more than one toon on wow?

Gandalf

I now have a Mage char. Moonjelly is her name :D

My warrior is currently lev 14 and the mage is lev 12. Levelling the mage certainly seems a lot easier so far.

Anyway, I'm starting to enjoy this game. Reminds me so much of EnB. Very similar styling and quest / storyline.
