I'm quite often on OGHF server but do get a little frustrated with some of the less than legit gameplay.

I guess we need a few more dmw peeps to shout up...or should I just move on with my life

I have a Saitek X52 Pro - Is this compatible ?

Which package would you recommend, If the gameplay is anything like ED, the bigger the better and the easier to get them credits. Don't really want to start with ta real basic ship then struggle to bring in the wealth/complete missions

btw I assume gameplay is similar to ED regards principally driven by cash & Missions.

I'm an ED player and have been for 3 years or so.

Looking on the rather messy SC website thinking of maybe giving SC a go, a couple of questions percolated to the surface of my mind, like -

Are there only two ships to choose to buy.

Which one is most cost effective.

Whats all the other peripheral stuff at extra cost and is any of it recommended

Do my eyes deceive me but I didn't see any mention of a Joystick, surely Its because I've gone blind. My little podgy squirrel type claws can't operate a keyboard for flight.

Not much recent activity so my question may fall on deaf ears.

The question is up in the title. I've been keeping any eye on this but have read many reports the game is still buggy, abused by cheats etc  Is this your experience.

I've seen keys for around £14-£18, anyone aware anything better.

Also, what's the dmw team situation like - Is there an active one ?

Nice to see some of the old faces still around. I was reminiscing looking at the first Lan Party comments - circa 18 years ago, so old I'm thinking of changing my Nick to 'I'mAnOldblokeToo'

Nice to see a lot of the old faces are still around. Community looks like its doing really well and the Lan Parties are still going too - I really miss them.

What's the Lan attendance up to these days used to be capped at 45 from memory.

Have to go back into the wilderness now to carry on my Monkish duties...whatever those might be.

I bumped into Lionheart the other day and we got talking because I leave within an easy drive maybe turning up to the Lan for a pint to say hello to some of the old faeces..and catchup on any old gossip

....So where do I post.
 
Well what can I say. I've been absent for a few months or is it years while I've been treking around the Universe...well Downham Market actually and I thought I would say hello.

Its been 7 days now and my speed still has never gone above 1800 - 1850 kbps.
Its dropped to around 1400 though on occaision.
Upstream has increased to 380.

And yes each time I've ran the speed test I've rebooted and unplugged my modem.

I've contacted Eclipse so I'll see what they say..probably wait for the 10 days

I assume like me, many of you have jumped onto the extra bandwidth for nothing wagon.

My account was activated on Thrs.

Since then I've been testing the bandwidth using several monitors like ADSLGuide & BlueYonders Speed test.

So far MY D/L has not changed from my original 2MB speed @ 1800 - 1900 kbps.

I know theres a 10 day settling down period but I would have thought I might have seen some change by know.
I've been on forums where many ppl seem to have got to 8MB speeds from day 1.

Is it too soon to start bitching to my isp (Eclipse) who upto know have given good speeds.

I'd be interested to know how the rest of you have got on and which isp your with
