Im quite new to this but ive been reading up on building my own pc and browsing for components and have settled on an AMD Athlon "Thoroughbred" XP 2200+ cpu, an MSI K7N2 Delta-L Nforce2 Motherboard and some other stuff that i already have and was wondering if you more knowledgeable peeps could give me a hand. First off, what do you think of those choices above, and then what sort of RAM, coolers and PSU do you recommend?

how on earth do you get it so far? i cant even hit past 300  :unsure: its getting to be an addiction now and its even worse that im useless at it

you're probably all getting a little bored with all these polls but it would be interesting to see what you all think should win. ive got the bbc top 10 though i think red dwarf, father ted, alan partridge and the office should be in there, feel free to post any you think have been unfairly left out

i recently upgraded to xp from windows 98 and now i find my sound cuts out after about 2 minutes. i have an aureal vortex 2 card and after searching the internet ive discovered quite a few people have had this problem ( and if this has been discussed already please point me on my way) , but i havent been able to find a way to fix it so if any of you guys know what to do id appreciate the help  

the avp games are fantastic, genuinely scary as a marine and great fun with all the gadgets as a predator.  im hoping the film would be pretty good, it looks hopeful from what i saw in that featurette

if memory serves that man was also the brains behind mortal kombat so fingers crossed eh?
