I have a pair of tickets to the BTCC at Croft for this weekend. I shall no longer be attending so I am offering the pair free to anyone willing to pay for the rush job postage.

I'll obviously pay for the postage and send them first thing tomorrow and recoup the pennies later - perhaps a beer at the next LAN

I didn't really want a wyvern early on into my Ark experience but - they're just too damn awesome.

I haven't and won't vote simply as I don't have a clue what you're voting for. I don't even understand half the stuff in this thread.

As a first time player, I'm sticking away from most of you guys til I get the hang of what is what. I'm barely level 30 with a few raptor tames and a small wooden house. If people want to bring over high level characters and dino's to do high level stuff then go for it. I personally wouldn't (what's the point of starting new only to finish almost immediately?) but other peoples choices won't affect me a great deal so I'm happy to go with whatever consensus is taken.

Enjoying the game though, seems getting eaten alot is my specialty

I currently run RetroArch - RetroPi for Steam - and although the games run, the controller configuration is a nightmare!

Do you have the same problem in Pi or is it simpler as it runs RetroPad natively?

I did try a few times to wander in the right direction but it was quite a fair way from spawn.

Inventory should be practically empty as a new spawn. I'm not even bothered about all the bags and bits I lost from death, I just can't remember where my base is
I do remember passing a large building (wasn't there at the time - just a flattened out area) on top of a mountain and carrying on for quite a way.

So um... a "glitch" has kinda screwed me over and my lack of attentiveness has made it worse.

I have a bed, but I moved it and forgot to sleep in it...
I also forgot to waypoint my base...

Now I'm aimlessly wandering the wilderness without my jetpack :doh:

If you want extra bits added to the tekkit mod, let me know and ill ask oldie to have a look.

Where should I start the list?

There's a ton of mods I'd love to have access to but I wouldn't put Oldie through it. There's no way to guarantee stability without testing and knowing my luck, I'd ask for the one mod that takes the server down :S

If people still play, I'll keep building and keep my eyes peeled!

I've been building away my little empire for a while now and haven't seen anyone else drop on. The tekkit builds are a little light on mods so if it's all dead I might start a new FTB server at home.

I've just bought a pair of B&O H2 headphones for music at work and play but they're such fantastic sound quality I'm tempted to use them for gaming too.

Has anyone tried a throat mic or have experience with any reasonable standalone mic's that don't pick up too much ambient?

Looks like I'm the only one who wasn't as impressed as they expected to be.

The 'banter' and 'jokes' were so scripted they may as well have been holding the scripts up and reading direct. That was really disappointing for me.

The car review parts were the same as the last series of Top Gear. Well filmed and interesting. I'll keep watching to see how it all gets on but I hope the banter becomes and little more ad lib and less read from sheet.

I'll be honest Chaos, I disagree with your last statement (in the nicest way possible!)

I've watched a few of the video's and agree with alot of what is said - but understanding has less value if no-one actually implements the tips. In an ideal world, everyone who plays competitively in any team would know what to do and when and where, but realistically, people make snap decisions instinctively that may or may not be detrimental to the team effort.

I haven't really had the fortune to play much competitive with dMw yet, but could I make a radical suggestion? Select someone to be 'spokesperson' for a match and have them issue orders. Either an admin, or perhaps map dependant (Rein on an attack/defend etc) who will force people to group when necessary, can give out strategic requests (Soldier 76 and Lucio flank left, tank and healer take center etc) and generally be the cohesive member for a round.

I think once people get the hang of the group effort they'll naturally play that way more often - but I know I'm included - I tend to go crazy until things go wrong and someone in the team (Gunda ) points out were all being d1cks and need to group up
