Seriously though ... / Please delete me
June 13, 2009, 09:02:45 PM
From memory there is no forum rule that stops me from having my request actioned.

If you will not delete everything then you could at least archive things - I no longer wish to be associated with dMw.

The more my request is questioned the messier this will get. In case you are in any doubt, that is a promise.

See you guys.

Seriously though ... / What happened to Amazon?

Quote from: TeaLeaf;278987Thought you were using an adbloicker and not seeing it anyway?

I am using an adblocker but that that flash advert wasn't being blocked.

Frankly I see this as the start of a slippery slope and, as has been said, it was so nice to have an advert free site.

Hopefully OB will see that as more constructive so he doesn't have to make any more pointed posts :sideways:

Quote from: OldBloke;278892If, like me, you are not seeing the Crucial banner then you will need to add http://altfarm.mediaplex.com/ to your ad-blocker's exclusion list.

Great, more adverts. Thanks for giving me the URL to block!

Call of Duty / Banning
June 11, 2009, 08:28:44 PM
I've had 2 PMs from some muppet asking why he was banned and could he get unbanned.

I have deleted them both.

We don't have a Server 11 and Server 12 so I guess he hasn't even found the right forum

Edit - bleedin minimum of 4 letters crap filter thingy gets my goat when all I need to say is YES

Quote from: no peanuts;278808You do know that that link you specified does list the replies at the very bottom of the page without having to log-in?!!!!

Please say "NO", so we can have a little laugh at you :narnar:

Other than that I can't realy help much...sorry

You must have a login as when I connect (when I am not logged in) you cannot see the answers.

Quote from: Doorman;278770Oh, and I've beaten up the wife.

Well if that doesn't sort it nothing will :)

The other thing to try is to go to your server and type "netstat -b" in a command window, it will list the ports in use by the server. make sure the server is actually using the relevant ports.

The only thing I can think off is to swap the order of the UDP ports and put the lower number first then reboot the router.

I know, it sounds daft b ut worth trying.

Quote from: Doorman;278766Oh that it was that simple. I'd been running an rFactor server very successfully for a few months before the new router.

post a screen shot of your port forwarding page

I thought it had always been like this. I get a discount for not taking paper bills from them which equates to the same thing.
