All Sotrted, Processor arrived today 18 Hours afer they said thay would sort it which is no mean feat as it had to go to N.Ireland.

Overall, obviously unhappy that there was any sort of problem, but mistakes happen, and I'm pleased to see that it was sorted in good time with minor effort on my part.

.... and they all Lived happily ever after.... The End

Just had a lenthy conversation with ebuyer, kept my cool, and they have re-weighted it and are sending out a replacement for delivery tomorrow, they have apologised for the mistake.

Could this story have a happy ending ?

Got an email from them this morning :

Dear Sir / Madam,

Thank you for informing us of your missing item. When we are believed to have short shipped an item, we carry out a series of checks to make sure that the item has not been dispatched.

Our first check is to recreate the order in our warehouse, and match that weight against the weight of your order when it was shipped. We have carried out this check, and the weights show we have shipped the item. This means we have to further investigate the missing item, by checking the parcel with Citylink, our couriers, and possibly reporting to the relevant authorities should something seem suspect.

We have performed these checks and believe goods to have shipped on this occasion. However, if an incorect item/s have been delivered, please advise as this will account for the weight check and we can investigate further.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation in this matter.

Regards,

Phoned today, phone answered in 5 minutes, seemingly they will send this tomorrow, after weight validation, they say they have quite a few new warehouse pickers who are currently undergoing training, and apologise for the mistake.

I will be very surprised and very pleased I might add if I have a processor before the weekend.

Bets on.....

Unfortunatley it was delivered while I was out and my wife signed for it, the tape does contain a warning:

Caution
if this tape is broken or if the package is damaged, check entire contents infont of carrier and sign carriers sheet in accordance with actual condition and quantity of contents. It is not sufficient to sign "unexamined". Written complains must be made to the carriers and the senders immediately otherwise no claim can be entertained.

The 4 parcels were undamaged, and the security tape was intact, according to the above statement, I couldnt of signed it unexamined anyway, which is contrary to their contract.

I opened it infornt of a witness and there were no voids in the box, it was packed to overflowing and I'm not even sure the Processor box would have fitted, had they bothered to send it.

Well finally got my gear thru this week, everything was looking good, opened up the box, checked the packing slip, everything ticked, proceeded to get it all out, but have found that of the 2 processors I ordered, (1 for me,1 for a colleague) mine is missing although its ticked as if it was packed, its the very last item on the list, and under it is sorta an x with a initial.

Called them, call answered within 3 rings and they are sending an email to their head office, according to their records it was in the box.

Googled a search on ebuyer complaints, got 900 odd results, and seemingly the form is that the boxes are weighed before shipping, so they repack your order minus the bits you say is missing and see if the weights tally, tho theres not much weight in a processor HS& Fan.

I have previously stated, that I have never had any problems with them, but bloody typical, 2 weeks off and got everything I need bar the processor.

sods law.

I will update with the outcome....

Edit: before anyone starts lol, I did ask Norm, and he was very helpful, but cant ship to N.Ireland.

Can someone bring this to norms attention quick, if it helps I'm ordering 2 of these quite similar spec, and need them a.s.a.p as my video card blew a cap and took out my agp slot when it went.

The only other thing to take into consideration is that they need shipped to N. Ireland and I'll need a VAT reciept as I run a small computer maint. company and can claim the vat back.

Thank you please

Ive had one of these for quite a while, I like it, nice key action, and handy for giffers like me that cant see in the dark lol

One major point is that its water resistant, managed to dump 1/2 a pint of Guinness over it last night and after stripping it, only a couple of small droplets made it thru to the membrane, the top assy comes right off and after a bath was fine, no sticky keys and working fine :D

Afaik he is still on Radio broadband like myself, tho he is in Eire where the horse and cart are just getting replaced with those new fangled automobiles lol (no offence Browne lol)

I have a similar setup using Radio Broadband but am in N.Ireland via BT and my pings are allways steady 25-35, then again, theres a 50-1 contention ratio on my transmitter and I know theres only 2 of us using it.

For those not familiar with Radio Broadband, basically its a transmitter which I pick up using a dish on the side of the house, coming into a nice little black box which then plugs into my switch.

Adey is an IT Techie so I would doubt theres syware etc on his system, tho stranger things have happened lol
