Is there a termination connector on the end of the fiber?

here are a few types, if yes, then its possible to get a fiber coupling like the ones in the bottom of the photo. And then extend the fiber with a 2-3m kable. Just need to be sure of the type of cable coming into the house. Single mode or multi mode and so forth
Its not the best solution, but its the simplest. We sometimes used them in as a quick fix.

Got a bit of a question,

I've been trying saving a bit of money and I'm looking to building a home server for storing and sharing files for the family (with some kind of online backup), having some different services running on it (like plex) and a few virtual machines for testing and having fun with different operating systems

I was thinking about making one with a Ryzen CPU due to the "lower" cost with lots of cores and threads or is that a really stupid idea for me to do since that is a gaming CPU and totally overkill and I should try look for a Xeon cpu with ECC for better reliabilty instead? (Would not mind keeping the small fractal design case since it got room for a bit of expansion and decent sound proofing)

Since we got lots of smart people here what are your thoughts? I'm a totaly bonkers doing this?

Will run Windows Server 2016 I think on it since I managed go get a licence a while back when I did some studying.

Ryzen would be nice for a little home server.
Just a note, currently a lot of people are having issue with ryzen not throttling down when idle. I see my ryzen doesn't throttled down when idling

G.skill flareX kit works like a charm so far.

After a little testing and reading.
Apparently there some issues with certain kits XMP profiles. Causing instability and audio distortion for some reason.
Retested the G.skill 3600C16 by manually setting speed and timings. Kit ran stable through 2 hours of prime95 and a 4 pass memtest86
Vengeance kits were faulty, nothing to do about that

Func MS-3-R2 at home, mainly due to the comfort of the mouse. Sadly its no longer in production.
Logitech Master 2S at the office.

When the func one day dies, im probably gonna go for a Master or similar.

i love the ryzen when it works..
So far ive been what i hope is just unlucky with the memory.
First set of vengeance died violently.
Second vengeance were unstable and had a few bad areas.
Then i tried a 3600C16 G.skill ripjaw 5 kit. Refuses to run stable on anything then 2133.
Now testing out a G.skill flareX F4-3200C16 set. which passed memtest on first go..
