IDE is two channels only. Master and Slave. Your best bet is to either get a bigger hard drive or buy a cheap PCI SATA card and add SATA drives.

Or get a PCI IDE board - will give you up to four more devices.

What about:

Promise ATA133 Card for £23

or the

Highpoint Equivalent for £19

Both of those will support 4 devices or if you want to go up market then what about:

Adaptec ATA100 RAID card for £43

or the

Highpoint ATA133 RAID card for £48

If you want to spend more then please let me know and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction :)

pm me your address. I've just found an ATA 133 card here that came with a new HDD. I've never used it so you may as well put it to good use :)

It's based on the promise PDC20269 chipset and is a Maxtor branded card. I have no drivers but that should help you download any if needed.

Why on earth are you thinking about paying them for delivery?

Why not use the free delivery terms posted on these forums and over at Hexus?

BlueBall this is a cut 'n' paste from further up, do you not read things?

it is a PCI mass storage controller so that i can plug in more hard drives.

i have found this driver now thanks to (this will be a blast from the past for some of you) TUTONIC!

now i still cant see the hard drives.

Yup. I even read my post further up that linked to 4 different cards. As I do not know which one you are referring to its a bit bloody difficult to offer advice don't you think  <_<
