How do I search google for *#06#?

I think it takes the hashes for something else. Putting quotes around it doesn't seam to work. When I click advanced search it puts '* 06 ' in the 'match exact phrase' field so I am guessing it removes them or uses them as wild cards.

Anybody know how to do this?

looks like the code you type into  your mobile to get the software version and hardware version of said phone

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

I searched for hash06hash and it gave me the fact that when you enter the code it returns your IMIE number

Ah, thanks guys. I never though of using hash for #.

I found the number in a hoax mobile phone virus email and there were a few other numbers I wanted to find out what they actually did. But now it apears I have inadvertantly deleted the email... woops
