Does anyone actually admit to buying any of the CDs that were infected with the copy protection?

The list was un-inspiring to say the least and they are all in the US market.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

...and have.

MS will now include the rootkit as malware in their Malicious Software Removal Tool and have an automated removal procedure for it.  The update including the tool is due to be issued in December.  Read about it here.

If MS get the tool wrong then look our for lots of people complaining about their CD drives not showing up in Explorer after removal of the rootkit  :roflmao:  :roflmao:

"Moral, if you bought Sony products, you are screwed. If it causes you problems, you are screwed more. If you uninstall, you are screwed yet harder. If you uninstall it yourself, you are a criminal under the DMCA. If you use an antivirus program to uninstall it, you spent money to fix Sony's problems, and you are still a criminal. That's what you get for buying music.µ"
