It did look shiny. Will (apparently) be Windows Vista only though. Possibly, if/when Vista slips further, they'll alter it to run on XP. BUt what I heard a few weeks before E3 was:

Halo 2 and Crysis would be Vista only.

Microsoft had chosen Crysis to be the game to showcase the gaming capabilities of Vista (supposedly it does funky things like cut the amount of OS processing it does down when it detects a game running, so it'll be more like running the XBox OS [which was a cut down Win 2k kernel] when you're actually gaming).

Microsoft has also chosen Crysis to be the game showcasing the capabilities of DirectX 10 (though there aren't any DX10 gfx cards out there yet).

Shows how shiny Crysis will supposedly be :D

I wouldn't say he looks pretty, but if thats wot u think ......... :P

Maus

iirc Crysis will run on XP in some kind of simulated DX10 environment. Won't be as pretty or as fast as Vista though.

Have you chaps seen the boss fight trailer? In-game footage that looks like it's straight out of a movie. (in fact, that movie is of it running in said simulated DX10 environment)
