FYI. Yes, apparently it runs on XP with Very High definitions.
I think it means that either Microsoft or the ppl who made Crysis are not exactly honest...
"Even in a justified war, only one place there is for the dead; if someone loses - it\'s only you. Prime Ministers leave without a scratch - when everything ends they mourn the people; but I want to live on and mourn them"
(free translation from a song by Hanoch Levin, 1968 )

QuoteDear Crysis Beta Participant,

We hope you've been enjoying the Crysis multiplayer beta test, and we've got good news:  you get to enjoy it for 2 more weeks!

The beta test end date has been officially extended to Nov 15th.  However, in order to continue playing past Nov 1st, you will need to re-enter your beta key.  You will be prompted to do this automatically when starting up multiplayer.

Need to retrieve your key?  No problem, just log into the FilePlanet account you used to join the beta and view this page: http://www.fileplanet.com/betas/keydisplay.aspx

Still having trouble?  Contact our Customer Support team here: http://support.fileplanet.com

Enjoy the rest of beta!

-The FilePlanet Team

From the link above:

QuoteIf you tweak the configuration files in \CVarGroups\ by copying and pasting the "very high" settings (1st paragraph) IN PLACE of the "high" settings (last paragraph) the game will load the highest possible settings even though the drop-down menus display "high."

The difference between "high" settings and the tweaked settings is immense:  shadows are deeper, more realistic; the leaves have better reflective properties, better textures; the colours are better; and the level of detail is simply stunning.
