Yeah fortunately, I was just thinking of newcomers. I remember my brother was trying to join the server a few months ago but gave up because the downloads seemed to take a really long time for some reason, i'm wondering whether it was something up with his Steam settings.

Could you define 'long time'? The reason I arrive later in-game is usually when it is stuck in sending... no traffic, it just hangs for 20-30 seconds some times. I always get in the game though, eventually...

The money mod works well. However, you can actually join and get zero money at round start which is not that good. I think the lowest possible is like 1550 at round start if you had 0 from the previous round, without the mod.

Sure it wasn't a map? Skins/sounds/decals combined probably aren't more than a few megs....

All that stuff is on the fast download as well. It shouldn't be more than 1 Mb which is very little in comparison to some of our maps.

You could consider losing the sound files for download, its not like they are used all that often (only hear them on MH when the admins had more then a few beers), and it would make the server slightly faster to join.

Certainly, it's not a problem, just curious as to why my brother had a longer download time than expected, i'll see whether it's still the same when I see him next. Can go back on topic now. :narnar:
