Downloading and installing CS

Right its been years since i did this and im now on Vista........ How do i do it again?
 
Do i find a disc ive got somewhere or download Steam?

download steam, install it and login with your steam id (if you can remember it) and it will present you with all the games you are entitled to play :)

Something like //www.steampowered.com download a little file (steam.msi or something) once installed sign in, right click Counter Strike, "install game...", you can bring up the bandwidth monitor from the view menu to keep an eye on how it's going, or look at the "My games" tab.
After it's done just load it up like normal.
You'll have to change all your keyboard settings and download all the maps, you can grab the maps while it's downloading to save some time.

That's absolutely everything I can think of concerning getting a steam game you own.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.
