M8 at work recently gave me the 200meg d/l.
It uses the new U/T2 graphics engine and the gameplay apparently developed  by the US army !!.
Its currently in the Beta kind of phase with new add-ons coming along.
LionHeart (From the Lan Party)Ex army -  reckons its quite realistic - i dont know never been in it.
At the moment there are mainly US servers available and only a few European but if you believe the blurb its quickly catching on and new servers being added all the time.
Theres a write up at GamespyArcade.

Is this likely to replace CS ??

If you cant be arsed to D/l 200mg  - mail me with add and i'll post you a copy.(That way i know where you live and can throw carrots through your windows)

Oldie found this thread for making LAN.
http://americasarmy.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...13325&forum=4&6

Or read this instead (this dont really matter to me but if we were to play it on the LAN there this is for the guys in the know)

Start a Local Area Network Server

Locating the Files:
Navigate to Army Operations/System sub directory. In order to be able to configure our Internet game server, we need to build an ini file to set our server up with the configuration options we need. Make a copy of the ArmyOps.ini file then double-click it , select "file" then "save as" and type in a file name that you will remember, like LANserver.ini. Close the application. Next, right click on RunServer.bat and select "Edit". Select "file" then "save as" and name the file an easily identifiable filename such as RunLAN.bat. Close the application. We now have our LAN files to configure.

Configuring the Basics:
Open the LANserver.ini file, or the name of the file that you have constructed.
Locate the line;
bRequireAuthorization=true
and change "true" to "false". This will disable authorization on your server.
Locate the line;
AdminPassword=password
and set "password" to your desired administration password. For security reasons you will want to have something with letters AND numbers.
Save and exit the application. Right-Click "RunLAN.bat", and select "Edit". It should currently read as follows;
server.exe LAN MOUT_McKenna.aao log=server.log ini=server.ini
Change it to read;
server.exe LAN.aao log=LAN.log ini=LANserver.ini
And then save and exit the file.

Starting the Server:
Double click on the batch file to start your server, in this case it should be "RunLAN.bat" and your done.
If your playing on the same machine as your hosting, just leave the program running in the task bar, enter the game as you would normaly and type "open " at the console and your in. The ~ key brings the console down.

Most of this how-to was borrowed from the help site at: http://wfrazee.serveftp.com:81/howto.html and modified a little to make it an easier read and also, correspond with the 1.1.1 download as that ver. download doesnt have a server.ini file in it.

Right to add to my last comment here is a little program which will apparently help you make a LAN for upto 4 players and help you set-up a server
