It has been suggested to me this evening, that the winner of the season long LFS hour races should be awarded a badge. Something with a chequered flag on it. This, as I see it would be displayable for the next year and then be taken over by the next winner. Can that be arranged? :) I reckon it's a great idea. Maybe a 1-2-3. Gold, red and green

Not sure about getting too many badges:g:

The more badges there are, the less value they have:2cents:

I'd say no.

It would set a precedent that would see a badge being requested for all sorts of in-game achievements.

Sorry.

If a badge is deemed to be a bit A-level, there's no reason why it can't be incorporated in a signature? (so long as they're a supporter of course to get sigs).

Would that work?

Forget it. Just an idea. But hasn't a precedent already been set by folding achievements?

Don't be like that Ron. I don't think it's a bad idea actually. I also think it could be expanded out into the other games too - certainly easy enough to do on CS:S and CoD4 with the online stats available (so long as it doesn't affect teamwork obviously).

It looks like the average member is likely to have four or five badges. I don't think it's over the top to have up to 8 (two full rows). It's also unlikely that one member would have more than specific game award.

Anything that gets people more involved and encourages more action on the servers is a good thing so long (again) if it's not to the detriment of the teamwork gaming style.
