Did it have the word exam on it and difficult stuff?
then it's similar in their eyes.

Quote from: BlueBall;259597Lovely stuff. Have you done Relativistic Magneto-Hydrodynamics yet? I can honestly say that it was the one topic that I just did not "get"

Nope. That sounds hard. Not had to do anything with such a funky name. Can't picture what that would involve. Magnetic fluids travelling at near the speed of light? When would you use such a thing.

(After 2 more exams I'm on to my final project so it looks like I've escaped that one)

Yeah, It had the same cover sheet, with 2008 changed to 2009, but everything inside it was on different topics. And where he'd left the question even remotely similar the Lagrangian (equation describing the system) was made more complex so people got stuck.

Gotta say, I was delighted when I finally left Uni and got into the world of work, but maybe that because i'm lucky to have a job I love. No more tests unless I decide to go in for them, and if i decide to go in it's because it's on a subject I enjoy \o/

It's still open because it's a giant advert. Advertised in 50+ countries. Not bad publicity for £70,000(?)

Of course. It's a very clever cheap way of getting column inches and airtime. Very clever concept. Kudos to the agency (Hills Balfour Synergy) behind it.

Network/Systems Admin + Programmer for Lancaster Uni. Not everyone's cup of tea, but for the most part I love it. Currently working on a major project with one of my workmates to code an access control system that will auth all machines/people before they're allowed on our network, and also auths our network admins when they log into a network device, and logs what they do on it. There are various commercial products already out there, but they all cost a bomb and don't do everything we want/need. It's a challenge to make it all work well and fast, and i'm really enjoying working on it.
