I have had problems with my L4D. I crash or get BSODs five minutes into the game. Could it be the latest nvidia drivers? Should I revert back to pre 175.xx of the driver?

Are you on Vista? If so, edit the shortcut you use to start it (right click // properties) and select the compatibility tab then tick "disable visual themes" and "disable desktop composition".

If you are on XP try info posted here or, as OB suggested, try running it in borderless windows mode

I use XPx64. I will install the older drivers and try borderless. Cheers.

Try borderless before rolling back. I'm on 181.22 XPx64 and it's fine in borderless mode.

Thanks for the tips. My L4D attemps lately seem to stop after 5 minutes ... either it is BSOD or a CPU fan blade shooting off ... :sideways::blink:

Try adding "minSecsToBSOD 0" to your config to disable it. You must have it set to the default (minSecsToBSOD 300)

Cheers. That made the difference. Now it works. :yahoo:
