Stats, good or bad?

It may be me but the game-play on the Co-Op server seems to have deteriorated. Getting pills passed to you when you don't need them just so the other person can get 40 points, or healing someone, even though they've got their own health-pack to get more points, pushing ahead to kill the most zombies to get extra points and so run in the line of fire so someone else gets -50 points.

All these things seem bad to me, or am I just being a grumpy old git?

The fun stats are good, but people seem intent on getting the most points.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

No, you're a grumpy old git - but I do think you're right, point farming is as bad as frag-hunting (imo) but I've not experienced it - maybe cos I've not been on the co-op server enough...

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

I see there being two options.

Remove any reference to total points from the site, so all you can see is the decent stuff or remove it all together.

It's all more work for our server bloke though. I'm happy to have it removed if it can't be done. The idea is sound, but if it encourages shitty play, let's bin it and see who complains.

The stats have changed the way people play. I have noticed the same behaviour Snooks reports and I actually left the server two nights ago because of it. One of the players kept running ahead looking for pills/first aids to either hand over or to heal the rest of the team. I think we should either make them invisible ingame i.e. the messages about the points or remove the stats completely.

It's when someone gives you pills they just found when you are trying to fight off a zombie rush, so you swap to a usefull bottle of pills to shake at the ravening hordes :ranting2:

I think the thing to do is to jump on there when there are a few non-admin players on and see what you think.

It's good enough for me.....

Whitey, thankyou for your efforts, but can we remove them from the server for now?

No problem, I'll do it when I get home. (or maybe a bit later if I forget) :flirty:

It's a late addition I know, but from my perspective stats are something to be pored over in the small hours, on your own and in the dark. :)
