There is a new 160GB ps3 coming out..
Clickie
I find xbox and ps3 are very similar, except for the simple fact that more people have an xbox so you can play with more friends.. and whilst the xbox may have some good exclusive games.. so does the ps3
Resistance: Fall of Man
MotorStorm
Little Big Planet
I personally would only buy an xbox so i could play with my friends.. but then you have to pay for a wireless adapter and then pay more to play online.. in which time it is near enough the same price as a ps3..

The specs I have found out in that "new" PS3 is only bigger HDD, which can be changed on your own to for example to 500GB so don't pay extra for 160GB compared to 80GB.

Quote from: TE_owner;269550i was wondering which 360 (or ps3) to get cause for 200 pounds for the elite seems a bit much is it possible to get an memory upgrade for the core version or is the elite the only reliable 1 :g:

You get a 60gb HD with the regular version. If that's not enough for your collection of music and videos you can plug in an external usb hard drive or memory stick (providing it's FAT or Mac formatted...It doesn't like NTFS for some reason). That way you can run 500GB or 1TB of videos from a hard drive straight to your TV. Saving the main hard drive for downloaded content and demos etc, stuff you get off xbox live.

The Xbox was only really unreliable for the first couple of years. Microsoft offer a 3 year warranty against red ring of death, so you can bet most of the glitches are gone. The reason to go for the Elite is using HDMI rather than component HD.

Not forgetting that with a 360 if you have it on the same network as your pc, as I'm guessing you would, it'll pick up any media you have on your pc & you can just play it directly from the pc on your 360.

Yup, if you have media center then it works great as the 360 is a media center extender.

I'd imagine the Xbox. I know someone whose done it. And having taken one apart there's not too much to it.

PS3 cant be chipped, so you cannot make backups of your games, which is ofc the reason you would do so, as pirating is illegal. There is still no way of doing so.

Xbox360 can be softmodded insanely easy afaik.

But remember its illegal to download and play pirat games :)

Well i mianly said it to show that dMw does in no way encourage pirating, and anything related to encouraging should be removed
