Looks like after 3 years of brilliant quality my BFG 8800 GTX 768 o/c has bit the dust...

For the last 10 days or so I've been having BSOD as the driver is trying to reset itself but can't due to the hardware failing... it's running super hot to the touch as well..

I took it out and re-seated the card only to get horizontal lines on the bootup screen and virtical lines in the W7 boot up sequence. Unfortunately I get BSOD when trying to get into windows at all. I have got in once in Safe Mode but given that the lines are visable on the screen in the bios and pre-o/s boot sequence, I say it's fubar...

Contacted BFG email suppor who's already asked me for relevant info on the serial number etc.

Hey Scotty.. Got a PCIE card I can borrow?

Ahh , was that why you disappeared last night? Was expecting you to come on over to MeatLocker and waited, but you never appeared.
Bad luck matey.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.
