I purchased this on BR last week and watched it last night. Written by Luc Besson of Fifth Element fame so had high hopes.

I wasn't disappointed. It starts off kinda slow, but it's setting the story for the characters and when it gets going it's all out till the end of the film.

It's a short film (by todays standards) and comes out at 89 minutes, but it certainly doesn't suffer for it. Definately worth a watch if you like action films.

I really enjoyed this film, do yourself a favour and rent/buy it today.

Just to clarify this is the movie and not the tv series right?

Taken was a good film don't get me wrong. Pretty action packed and with good stunts however the ending made the build up to the finish simply pointless. I mean he risks life and limb for the same relationship with his daughter. By this i mean he is left standing outside the main entrance to the airport and his exwife, new husband and daughter drive away in a limo. The story needed more work and i think the budget/ time caused the premature closure to an otherwise action packed movie.[/spoiler]

Watched this last night with SWMBO and even she was on the edge of her seat.

Normally, anything other than a chick flick, and she'll start reading a magazine.

So, on that basis alone, I give it the thumbs up!

I thoroughly enjoyed it.
