Has any1 else had probs with this program because i keep getting kicked off sites. And i couldnt reply to anything on the forum. So i uninstalled the program and everything works fine now. Im using the program on a dif comp in my house and its ok on my own one. Any one else had simular probs??  :blink:

I have not heard of this problem myself, I'll do a bit of digging and see what I can come up with for you DA.

The only thing I have found is:
  • PowerDVD has a problem with F@H that appears to be PowerDVD's fault not the F@H client's
  • F@H struggles on unstable systems.  If yours is overclocked then drop the overclock so that it gets back to perfect stable conditions (this normally shows though as corrupt WUs or F@H client crashes)
  • Use of the -advmethods flag can make some systems unstable (but they had to be leaning that way in the first place, much like the overclocked comment above)
Other than that I have not found a single comment about the client causing any stability problems at all (cosmetic issues, yes, but not stability issues).

Are you absolutely sure it is the F@H client that is causing your problems or did you forget to pay your subsrciption to the pron site that kicked you out?   ;)

Gotta side with DA here ...

Well one reason its prob having dif is that the spare machine is a hp. Just using at the mo caus my network cable to my comp is broke  :( . And i havent yet got to grips with the grapler  :angry:  bloody thing but o well. Ive still got the client on my machine still no probs but cant use it as no connection.

Wierd  :huh:   I can run those without dropping back to desktop and I have done this with both the graphical and console client.  Go figure.....

OK, further research suggests:

OK, I have finished my reading on the problem (aka I can't find any more info on it) and coem to the conclusion that all yout troubles will disappear when you switch to the console version :)

Of course my theory will be somewhat hosed if you now come back and tell me you already do.... :blink:

No problems here, but I had to install the beta GUI client after the regular one wouldn't even install itself  :blink:
