Hi all,

Thankyou for opting into the gaming committee.

We'll start off by formulating a list of potential games in the admin  section that we think will be able to try out and take it from there.

The process for a given game i reckon could be something like this:

• Game found (tested by person)
• game highlighted in gaming development section
• tried out by person who thinks its a good idea
• Advisors and gaming volunteers discuss
• Bulk try out by gaming volunteers
• further discussion
• raised to GL/CL for discussion
• graduation/re-evaluation/dismissal

It's going to be pretty adhoc as demo's/ beta's can be released days/weeks before the actual release of the game.

The idea is to try and stick to stuff thats free to evaluate games to  begin with but if we do find something thats paid and possibly a goer  we'll ask to get a server up.

As we go through I will sort out people to lead on certain games and sort out regular meets with each other.

Our founding principles of dmw still apply.

• Games need to be teamwork based and be either replacements of current games or totally new games that we could try out.
• Co-op or multiplayer based
• support voicecomms (although we now have ts)

It is a dry patch so lets start by getting everyone up to speed.

First of all please register at www.fileplanet.com as they provide a good supply of demo's and betas free of charge.

I don't mind you buying games as part of your normal routine but I don't  want you to feel pressurised into buying new games just for the  section.

Thats pretty much it other than if your not a supporting member keep your pm box relatively free.
