Inaugural Friday Feast of Fun

[Benny]

Well, despite being a little cynical I enjoyed it. Up until you let the publics on.

My only feedback would be that we had a fair number of players turn up and whilst all talk is a bit of fun, it's completely contrary to teamwork.

I think a Friday night, with password and teamspeak channels used would be fun. It's a fast game, but certainly the more open maps would benefit from some control and tactics instead of 'spawn, leg it' rinse and repeat.

It's early days yet and I'm certainly far from writing it off, but surely chat channels and a few less rushes would benefit things? You then have to deal with the obvious japery of a 'mole' in your chat channel. Are the in games comms really that bad, as that will be a barrier to entry for publics as and when you start controlling it.

Edit - Feel free to move this public, but I thought perhaps a closed response may be a little less divisive.

To be honest Benny that is a fair criticism of how the section has panned out so far.

We are in the interim phase some experienced players and regulars and some new people to the fray with new additions such as OB and yourself, which does need open mic to help the person and to help people who are still not sure on features.

Last night allowed a gentle paddle for those who wanted to try it and yes we were all in the same channel. I am looking to firstly begin to move to ingame comms and enforce this after we have had a week's worth of intensive trials, which will be done shortly.

Admins will remain in teamspeak as this is the easiest way for us to all communicate but at the end of the day congregating in the same channel initially is good to see who is playing and to have a quick chat before going in game.

Its the same principal as Wednesday nights and the like of your LFD server.

Yes its a tactical game but open all talk provides some useful banter and fun and i believe Friday should be about that.

During the rest of the week i will start to roll out teams going into the appropriate channels.
