Guide: Remove Tappet (yellow Steam mascot) from Friends window

workaround to remove the yellow guy from steam windows.

Saw a bunch of people complaining about Tappet, that yellow guy that  pops up in your friends window advertising the new voice feature that  there is no option to remove. So I thought I'd give it a try.

To apply the fix:

1) Exit Steam
2) Download fix.zip
3) In Steam/resource, rename chatty.tga to chatty2.tga *
4) Extract chatty.tga from the zip and place it in Steam/resource
4) Restart Steam

*Note that simply deleting chatty.tga and not applying the fixed  chatty.tga will not get rid of Tappet, as Steam will download a new  version when you start Steam. If you ever want to restore the original  file, simply delete chatty.tga and rename chatty2.tga.
