From what i had read and from what we experienced, the tactic of tanking terrors and dragging terrors to blood won't work (imo) unless we have a dk who can ams the stacks off.  We could give it a try but we would need to make sure we trigger bloods the second the tank gets hold of the terrors.

The only difference is how fast we DPS the Terrors from what I see though.  It's slightly longer to DPS Terrors first, but I just wanted to set down some sort of order so I do not get it arse about face again and leave me on my own whilst you lot kick back, laugh and drink beer whilst I kill the boss!

The main issue was losing 6 people to shrapnel so it is something we need to be aware of and avoid.

This fight really had me in terms of pet management. In the last few tries i changed a couple of macros and it went better (pet on assist and /petattack bound on main attacks, while having an emergency /petassist macro to call him back since it seems the follow command isn't fast enough). However i'm still losing my pet randomly on platform switching. In particular, it seems the pet is getting lost in the maelstrom more often during the double platform switches (from 1st to 2nd, from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th). In addition (but that may be a coincidence) i found that not jumping while running from a platform to another was helping (I read this somewhere on the forums and decided to give it a try).

Pet Assist is not what you need, you need Pet Passive.   That way it will return to you even if dots etc are still running.  So when you run out for Impale use Pet Passive, then it can assist again on Bolt.   Micromanagement is the way forward with this I'm afraid, I've found the same with my shadow priest in that the Mind Spike/AA rotation needs total micromanagement and you can't just macro the whole thing in as it won't work.

Other RL note:
As we do not use a DK tank we will be:

-burning to >16%
-kill fragments before 2nd shrapnel cast
-kill terrors
-then push boss through 15% and kill bloods
-burn boss to >11%
-kill fragments before 2nd shrapnel cast
-kill terrors
-then push boss through 10% and kill bloods
-burn boss to >5%
etc rinse & repeat

Enrage timer will dictate of we go slowly in last 5% or push through.

your pet gets auto ressed on the next platform.. i just use cooldowns before it dies and dont care

My bad, in the last post i wrote there's a typo: i'm using /petpassive macro, not /petassist (which i was using before).
About the autoress, more often than not is bugged on my char: i see it spawning on the platform (the animation of the rising ghoul) but as soon as the animation ends, often the pet disappears. I've seen this before starting the fight too: that's why you saw me going back and forth from the last 2 platforms: i was trying to save one cooldown and keep on bouncing until the ghoul was summoned correctly.

Following Patch 5.0.3 this fight has changed somewhat, mainly in Phase 2 where the slows on the Congealing Bloods have been nerfed hard.   This took us a couple of wipes to adjust to, but once we got to used to it we just needed to be that little bit faster onto the Bloods to get them down before they healed the boss.   It's worth nothing they need the full attention of the raid to get them down in time.   Otherwise the fight has changed for the easier, everything died fast and the tentacles on each platform were always dying before the second impale.
