Well is it? Being a stickler for not having stuff on my HD that is not productive, I'm itching to uninstall Half-Life et al. What's the concensus of opinion?

Well i think it's safe to ditch it.

I installed steam without having cs 1.5 installed on my pc.

And i could play with no probs.

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere. [/quote]

Wait and see what happens with the LAN patch. Our next LAN is but 4 1/2 months away. We may still have to play 1.5 again ?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

I wasn't concerned that 1.6 would play but whether we would ever play 1.5 again.
Thanks other peeps, I'll hang on to it for a while longer. I know Steam will come through with the answer to all our prayers nad make 1.6 playable on a LAN.

Surely some said in a post that it was all sorted just after the last lan or have i lost it? But im sure this time we will be able to get it sorted with or without steam. Didnt someone have an idea of having a 56k connection over the lan so that steam could authorise itself or does each pc need its own seperate connection?
