There is a new release of MineCraft, we have NOT upgraded the server, so it would be best to stay with 1.5.1 until we investigate the CraftBukkit releases.

At the moment there is a Developer Build, but that's all.

For the moment stay on 1.5.1 if you only intend joining our server, it could be a few days before we have a chance to get a supported version.

Sparko

I presume the game asks us if we want it updating? Or does it auto update? Sorry since I've been playing I don't recall an update being released

It does ask as soon as you login. Just say NO!

no peanuts

just as an FYI, all .jar files can be downloaded from assets.minecraft.net/version/minecraft.jar

So a valid URL would be something like http://assets.minecraft.net/1_5_1/minecraft.jar or http://assets.minecraft.net/1_5/minecraft.jar

Same should be true for future updates.
