Arma tonight,

I had a word with Toby and he agreed to let me tinker with the Zeus mode tonight to see how that works. I am hoping we can add a Zeus spawn to any normal mission, and I can just take that slot in the lobby and go from there. That way the mission runs as normal and I can just tinker / expand as necessary... but we will find out!

So TwoBad / Sparko, if you have a particular mission in mind tonight can you make sure it has a Zeus spawn in it and get it on the server for 2000 if possible? I know TwoBad did upload one with a Zeus spawn in it before, so we can use that one if it is still available, but if you want to upload a more recent version TwoBad, or sparko if you want to put a mission up there, go for it, just stick a zeus spawn on there for me to try!

Umm may have left it a bit late for map tinkering but if they can I am sure they will try.  If it does happen then it is something for us to try next week.

is there not a default zeus mission on MP that we could use?

The whole point in Zeus is to create the mission as its being played so using the default MP mission is probably all that is needed. I don't see the point in creating a zues mission when that's the whole point of Zeus, if that makes sense

I agree with Sparko here, Zeus is for on the fly mission creating.  However, i don't see why we can't have a fairly basic mission structure where it has be thought out logically and then use Zeus to spice things up a little.  I think using Zeus for the whole thing (at least to start with) will not work to peoples tastes.

I have added Zeus to one of my hostage missions just to see if we can get it to work with the revive and ammo scripts.  That is available tonight if anyone wants to try it.   I would also like to try my Wave mission as i've added some new elements and wanna see if they all work, if they do i'm pretty sure we'll get massacred so it won't take to long!!  Both are in the Dropbox Sparko.

Yes, TwoBad has nailed it.

Literally all I want to discover tonight is how Zeus works if we have a basic mission already set up that we can just drop a spawn in. Did not mean to suggest whole new mission or any drastic changes, I just want to have a Zeus spawn on an existing mission for me to play with - and I won't be changing things much at all either, I simply want to see how Zeus works within this scenario...

edit - two bad, just drop a zeus spawn into the new wave mission and we can start with that tonight?

Like I say I just want to see how / if it works...

I would suggest adding a zeus spawn and uploading a new file, so we have your new wave mission both with and without the zeus spawn just in case putting the spawn in causes issues... not that it should do...

Definitely not the right type of mission, the waves (if they work correctly) will be more than enough!!
