I've contemplated it for a while but I think it won't be a game i'll enjoy with the game wipes etc I've watched people play it and find that entertaining but yet to make a decision, I do wish I could try it for a few hours and see if I like it before committing to buy.

I wouldn't worry about wipes.  You only get 2 a year and they bring new content.  gear fear is the worst bit of the game.   but if you get over that it is fun...
