Hi all,

Vladic here not posted in a fair while, hope all is well and murderous in the DMW universe!

Right to business, I am currently looking for a UV proof blind to purchase for my bookcase as it is faceing my window and as some will know, once the UV rays hit white books they start to turn yellow, with these being collectables for myself id prefer to prevent such changes :) so any advice for that would be excellent, ive tryed places such as Ikea, argos, Home base etc the places most local/easy to access.

The second piece of business is a venue im looking to aquire in leeds for an event at the end of september for roughly 15 people ufortunatly many are either unwilling to take children or are not open early enough so anyone down that way who may have a theory as to a possibly venue in the city centre would be excellent :)

Thanks

Vladic

Hi Vlad, it might help if you gave some idea of the times (as you have found that to be a problem) and the use of the venue (ie meeting, playroom for kids for the morning, seminar etc).    With that info people with local knowledge might be able to help out a bit?

its part of streetpassuk.co.uk, we are essentially the leeds branch of the gamer group hoping to set our initial meet up (numbers expected between 10 - 20 tops) and some younger children and there parents plus teens will be coming along so for future occurances we need to find a venue that does sundays from say 11 onwards.

Its essentially gonna be a bunch of people sat around playing on 3DS consoles heh :)

Can't think of anywhere off the top of my head but for that time on Sunday it might be worth trying one of the local sports centres or similar pretty sure most of them will have some kind of function/meeting facilities you could use.

Hi guys, we supply UV window film and install it - https://www.evowrap.co.uk/uv-window-film-installation

It will stop up to 99.5% of UV rays and is available in a clear or tinted version.  The clear version just stops UV whereas the tinted will also stop some heat and glare.  Hopefully, that will solve your problem.

Indeed, I was going to suggest something similar. I've just done something along those lines to stop my dog melting when traveling in a car with a broken air-conditioner unit. Tints do seriously cut down on UV, heat etc.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.
