If anyone is interested, I've just setup a weather station in Bexhill. Reporting online every five minutes.

The page is just the default for now, I'll be customising it over the coming weeks with a webcam coming online within a week or so.

There will be historical data available soon too :)

It really is rather fun setting this up, this is the unit that is in use, it's wireless so no cables are needed for its operation.

They say the British have a fascination with the weather, well I guess we do :)

oh yeah, ignore the high rain rate on the ticker. That is when we were setting it up, and the boss tipped a bucket load of water in there instead of a splash to test the collector!

Thats really cool just one comment can u make the yellow script that moves a slower speed as its a bit annoying. Great idea though !!!

hover your mouse over it. I'll have a look to see if the scroll speed is adjustable.

EDIT: OK, the speed should be halved now. But the mouse hover does slow it down more.

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

How bizarre my uncle used to own a farm in Hooe which is just down the road so i know bexhill quite well.

It  may seem like Gandy has changed to Gandalf-Lord of anoraks and weak  lemon drink, but it is so all these nutcases can see good conditions for Kite surfing so they can break all their bones, so really under that red kagool he really is double hard...  :D

Ah I remember "Now drink your weak lemon drink".

And I remember reading the weather reports for surfing too  :)

Although I don't think there's much good surf in Bexhill.

Of course I don't surf anymore, I usually just hire myself out as a mobile sandbank.
