just as a question from the size of the fan i presume this option renders four slots under use by the cards but two not actually being used as the fan is in the way of them!

Certainly in the graphic on display it would appear that the cards are of the "2-slot" variety. Whether nVidia will continue to create these monsters or will work towards a single slot  solution remains to be seen. I have read somewhere 9can't remember where) that some of the OEMs are creating cards on the 6800 GPU which are single width but they are using their own proprietry cooling systems.

Aaah well, time will tell but good spot! Hadn't thought of that.

alienware have done somthing like this only there system is a little diffrent it uses one card to do half the screan and one to do the other half, but more to it really such as it evaluates which card is having biggest workload and equals it out i think, i msure a google will turn it up pretty quick

Knew I had seen it somewhere.  Asus have a single slot 6800 solution. I have no doubt others will follow and we will see it for PC Express too.

Nvidia steals again. Alienware constructed a computer (and still does) where you can install 2 graphics cards that does the same thing and better... ANY 2 graphics cards btw. I'd prefer x800 times 2. :)

Runs on 800W btw.
