1 site Vs smaller maps

At the moment we seem to play to 1 site on maps when we have teams of 6 or less. I can see how this started, when there's only 2 people on the server, it makes life pretty difficult as a ct to defend 2 bomb sites. But is it PCS. For example. I have played Dust2 3v3 where we have only used BS A, and it just turns in to a sniping completion down long A. Cbble is the same where CT's camp spawn and the T try and get in. It's just Death Match :(

I think we should try and knock this on the head and just change to a map, where you can get a proper game in. Dust works 1v1 and all the hossie maps also work well with smaller teams.

In my opinion ... yes.

Defenders defending, attackers attacking ... That IS PCS. If it's a sniping competition at Long A then the attacking side needs to sort out their tactics a bit more.

I think you can make a 'proper' game out of any map with low player numbers. All you need to do is agree to adjust the rules to fit the circimstances. For instance if it's 3v3 on dust2 then why not alternate the bombsites to attack/defend and swap the teams around to maintain balance. This bog-standard PCS common sense.

Again, if the majority of players want a different map then change it. Simply type:

admin_vote_map mapname

to start a vote.

WARNING: If the map voting is abused/overused then the option will be removed from non-admins.

In summary ... make the most of what you've got on the server to ensure that an enjoyable PCS experience is had by all.

I have long felt that the use of 'one site' games, take the bomb or hostages completely out of the game. It in effect becomes a deathmatch which to my recollection is not welcome on dMw.  :?

There's a common misconception that unless the bomb is planted or the hossies rescued then it cannot be PCS. If the attacking side kill all of the defending side then, in effect, the bomb HAS been planted or the hossies HAVE been rescued.

As long as the round has been played in PCS style then it matters not that one side or another are eliminated before the objective is completed. This is NOT deathmatch.
