Every time I go on an American PC modding site I see a section just for special energy drinks (stuff like 'JOLT', etc)...

While I didn't have any trouble staying awake over Saturday/Sunday morning I do think I will lag a bit playing all the way from Friday to Sunday!!!

What do you guys think?

Do these high caffiene drinks offer anything more than ordinary stuff like Coke and Lucazade Sport?

I do know they are not good for your blood pressure, I wouldn't recommend them.

Norm

Would not fancy the drive home either. :(  :nope:

LOL - I suppose what with that and the booze I drink while gaming it could be an accident waiting to happen! LOL

Has anyone died at a LAN before?

I dont know about you guys, but Ranger worries me. He didnt eat or drink by choice at all, we had to force him. Now he is wondering if all he needs is energy drinks. Ranger - step away from the computer.

I flew to america a few months back and i drank two red bulls. These made me really alert however they lead you into a false sense of energy and after the effects wear off can make you feel fatigued and very tired. In all they put stress on your heart and clear your brain but mix them with alcohol and your asking for trouble.

your also can drink some coffee is the same as redbull....same affect

DuVeL

I use them sometimes for a match but I like the taste (of the fake RedBull).
Sometimes they work to help you out staying up a little bit longer.

I actually went back to my long standing gaming drinkl of choice last night - Leffe Blonde!

Although I have to say that lately I have been drinking a lot of 'Merrydown Vintage Cider'!

...A lot of people tell me that beer (or Cider) makes them sleepy - but it seems to have the opposite effect on me (until my head hits the pillow)!

BIG-Paddy told me off yesterday as he bought me a big bottle of Leffe - which I took back to teh bedroom with me at the last LAN intending to have a night-cap booze...

I openned teh bottle, lay on the bed and...ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

:)

However, I think he has no room to complain as HE was the one who feel asleep in the games room in front of his computer at 2.30pm!
