As an avid listener of Radio2, I got to like the part where they played a Long Song
i.e. one that went on general release as under 4 (or 5) minutes but there is a longer version (7mins +) available, and they played the 7mins+ one.
Examples are:
Meat Load - Bat Out Of Hell
   Eric Clapton - Layla
   Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird
Billy Joel - Scenes From An Italian Restaurant
   Don McLean - American Pie
   Nearly everything by Dire Straits
etc etc

I listened to loads of them but only the above spring to mind.

Anyone out there help out with more?

guns and roses november rain, normal version 6 mins, extended 8.11

remember jackie brambles leaving radio1 and even thou she wasnt allowed to play the long version she did it anyway, it was her very last track

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.
