OK, I'm working on them - they'll be posted up here in a mo' and certainly before tonight's 3MC match on de_nuke.  :D

In the mean time, have a look at this for some info about the map that probably didn't know:

Come back in half an hour or so for the taccie map.......

OK, so here is one way of playing de_nuke - it seemed to work pretty well for us in the recent MeatHook tourney, so maybe we should try it tonight?  I have unashamedly stolen these graphics from another site, my apologies to the plagiarised artist

As T:

There is only one message here:  BE PATIENT!  We won quite a few rounds by waiting for the CT to come to us.  In particular, we won 3 rounds solely by boosting up on to the roof and rock nearest T spawn (the rock overlooking the main outside area).  One person covered a flank through the building, the rest picked people off as they gradually became more and more nosey  :D

For variation, we rushed mostly inside and down(4 times), inside to top site (twice) and one all out rush to outside and down.  The other two we just delayed and then rushed top side having had a chance to pick some peeps off.  DO NOT BE AFRAID TO USE THE FULL CLOCK.

As CT:  The Red Squares are where we as CTs should be, the green is favourite kill zones.

Forget the lower bomb site - just STOP THEM GETTING THERE in the first place!

CT1 is critical.  Get to the box quickly - you will HEAR the Ts coming if they are rushing.  As soon as you hear them rushing then toss an HE into the area through the archway.  Then get behind the box early and fire repeatedly down firing line between the box and the wall, into that same anteroom.  If the Ts DO rush to lower site, then as they exit into the ramp area they have to trun either left towards CT1 (and sneak through the narrow gap between wall and box) or turn right towards CT2.

CT2 - get up into the corner once the CT1's HE has been thrown.  Being close to the wall is imortant as it takes the T a fraction of a second longer to turn and fire.  Remember, they will know someone is at CT1, will assume someone is at CT4, and you at CT2 should have the drop on them.  If the attack is to the inside top site, then flank them and follow them into either the hut or through the door as CT4 will already be on the ladder to the girders.

CT4 - Get into that doorway behind CT1 & CT2.  Stay there until you are sure a T rush to the lower site is not on.  If it is, then wait for the CT1 HE to go in, then wait for the first Ts to arrive and toss an HE into the archway again.  Then empty your clip in to the mess'o'Ts  :D   Mind CT2 when you toss that HE though.

If the T rush is not on to the lower site, then CT4 shoudl drop back (aided by voice-com calls) to assume CT4b (where you can fire through the window down towards the open area) or CT4a (where you provide additional cover for the inside).  When you hear the voice-com - MOVE QUICKLY!

CT3 - Get up the ladder quickly and move across the girders so that you are in the corner with your body being protected by the beam from shots from the ground.  You should have a nice clear view of the doorway from the insude hut (you will see their feet before they see you - lots of good kills here!) and also have a view of the outside entrance to the top bomb site.  Cover them, kill anyone who is not a friendly.  The girder provides a surprising amount of bullet-stopping cover for you.

CT5 - Get up the ladder and on to the balcony, but DO NOT stay forever on the corner trying to snipe - you are far too visible and there are far too many places to snipe at YOU from  8O   By all means have a quick look from the corner (I mean QUICK look) but then stand about 10 yards back from the corner and aim to pick people off as they  head towards the outer building entrance to the lower bomb site.  If they get through to either lower site, or turn under you into upper site, then just drop down onto the boxes or sloped roof and chase them from behind  8O

CT6 - Suits a good sniper.  Get into the forward position quickly and check for a careless person netween the rock and the boxes, then check for boosts onto the rock or rushing outside.  Make the voice-com call.  When you are under attack from the outside, drop back to CT6a and use the narrower firing line that is there to help protect you.  If the Ts get in to the top site then follow them in.  If they are looking like they will over-power us and get past you to the lower site then consider dropping down in tot he corridor and hiding in the little alcove in the corridor to the lower site - that usually works for at least one round

If they get to the top site we should have them covered with by 4 people.

If they get to the lower site then it is much tougher to stop, so here are some of the favourite hiding places for Ts once the bomb has been planted - in particular look out for the T standing just out of sight at the top of the steps on the far side of the bomb site.

Hope this helps.

In addition I'd add ...

As CT:

Either CT5 or CT6 should destroy the box between 4a and 5 after leaving spawn. This gives 4b the option of shooting from either window.

I noticed that they had some differences in their tactics in comparison to ours when CT.

CT4 where together with CT2 which was very effective. We got slaughtered there a few rounds.

Our CT5 were in 4a postion and CT6 was inside by the boxes on the gound in the middle (where the lines from 3 and 4a intersect).

The 4a guy initially checked from a 4b roof position if we came outside.

Their tactics were simple but very effective. Just be inside the building close to the bombsite. Let us roam outside as much as we want. There is no bombsite outside so why be there? Simple but true. The 4b guy checked if we went downstairs and just voicecommed where we were going and they just shifted their defences.

When we attacked the inside site the 4a guy moved in on the catwalk to the middle to give room for a CT coming up the ladder from the downstairs ramp (CT2). The other two CTs took the radio room route to the bombsite. One coming door and one through the shed.

You might remember that we seldomly encoutered them outside. They didn't engage us outside either.

It is a variation we might consider, but I mowed them both down on two of our ramp charges.  The difficulty with being so close is that you get into close quarter fighting and that can be a bit of a lucky dip at times.  However it is a good variation that we could employ when we feel that we are comfortably controlling the top inside site.

That's an interesting and valid way to look at it and I think it might be worth experimenting with it to find out how well the 'CT shift' copes with defending the lower site or a mis-direction.

I feel a little uncomfortable with this because I don't particularly like the idea of defending the top site mainly from those girders.  The advantage of placing CT5 where I originally outlined (AND leaving the box intact) is that we can flank them from behind by following them into the top site (CT5 & CT6), attack from the side (CT2 through hut, CT1 through door) as well as the basic girder crew of CT3 and CT4a.

QuoteYou might remember that we seldomly encoutered them outside. They didn't engage us outside either.
This is actually highly unusual and in most matches we will be engaged by the CTs outside.  That is the only reason that boosting up on the rocks actually works.  The CT team is usually far too nosey for its own good and that usually means that after a minute or so you can find yourself with 6 Ts playing now only 3 or 4 CTs - much easier to outnumber.  I think we won both our rock boosting rounds didn't we?

Just my 2 cents....
