Rcon

My rcon is now working smooth as a baby's bum - thanks Oldie   - and I think that we need to consider rolling rcon access out to some others within the clan so that an 'rcon-able' user is on the server more often.  Particularly in the later evening games we rarely have an admin on the server and feedback I have had says  that this hurts the game and is awkward when they end up on a map unsuited to the number of players on the server.

We could add the 2ic's to those with rcon access - they really only need say, changelevel and kick - but wanted to hear everybody else's thoughts first.

JAS has been asking me about this for a while, he is on most nights and on till late so i would put him forward as one.

The problem  is (OldBloke dons his Devil's Advocate hat yet again) is that we may be introducing a divisive element yet again. Those with rcon - those without.

Should all dMw members have it? Possibly. It could be issued under an 'abuse it - you lose it' type license.

Or, we increase the number of admins (nominated by current admins).

The ideal solution IMHO is to make full use of the options open to us by use of adminmod. This would allow the server op to give selective commands to selected people. This would negate the need to give full rcon to all members.

The server configs issue is still unresolved. Until such time that they are we need to consider the alternatives to adminmod.

appears to be stuck on match config. We had a little game going tonight as MH was full and there was doorman idling in baldric. When I died I nothiced that the chasecam was set to follow, I tried setting forcechasecam to 0, but it wouldn't have it!

any ideas?

Ditto, same happened to me today and my kick command did not work either     It wouuld have been helpful as well because we had an real excessive swearer on the server earlier......

Any clues as to what has gone wrong would be appreciated....
