Annoying Forum Spammers

It's seems that the Russians are coming.  In the last couple of weeks we've had quite a few people registering on the forums with a valid email address to then post some spam here.  All of these pests are using a .ru domain and all have used one of two free email domains in the .ru realm.

I have banned a few seemingly often used IPs (and also showing as not used by any regular here) and I have also banned an email domain block.  There is another email domain which will also be banned shortly, but I need to contact the two legitimate registered users on that domain to ask them to change their contact details.

Sorry for the spam folks, it's the world we live in and the parents that bring them up :(

The second email domain is now also banned.  Hopefully this might (temporarily) reduce the amount of garbage we get posted here.

Another spammer has used the folowing IP to post at least 2 spam messages regarding illegal mp3s:

The host name for 213.17.105.7 is sd5116907.adsl.wanadoo.nl

Maybe we could send some of the Dutch contingent round to educate him  :devil:

i think Silver Oak Guardians has arround 2 dozen Dutchies in there, so a bit more then a few :D. Should be more then enough to knock some sense into that wannedoo lad. Or maybe its just Duvels inner spammer taking a peek out :P

I did notice a few spammers a whiloe ago, who had posted information about  a program known as winfix but these were swiftly deleted. It is a shame that people spam such rubbish. However this never seemed to be the case a few months back and so came as a disappointment, that people can post such garbage. Thanks for the added security Tealeaf we all very much appreciate it :).
