Ours has been pretty OK, but Harry Beaver's (A.k.a Chris) hub got blown up by lightning!
And Dan's was OK as I remember, but he saw lightning hit the electricity line, we're in a bit of a ditch, so we sometimes have water by us after almost a week of it not raining. :crying:
Appart from that, we've survived, but i'd hate to be the poor soul who got his hands burn to the keyboard when his internet got struck by lightning!

Sn00ks was without power for 2 days and there are still scheduled rotating power cuts around the Sheffield area to ration out the power.

I expect he'll be on tonight.

I live in one of the highest places in Rotherham (every road is downhilll from my house) and so haven't been effected except for the road closures, which just means I have to work from home.

I watched the flooding as it happened on the Sheffield Traffic camera site, but the attached .html file is better as you can watch them all at once with 30 second auto update. Worth watching this weekend if the weather does whats expected, with the ground already saturated this weekend could possibly escalate quite quickly. Luckily I was working from home on Monday, as almost all the direct roads out of Sheffield were closed by Monday evening and I wouldn't have got far on the motorbike.

Cam 19 is the one to watch first, thats the one where the RAF had to airlift people out. 7, 17 & 18 also showed some terrible flooding, as you can see they are basically just off the main city centre.

You'll also notice that 2 of the cameras at Meadowhell are still out of action, they had quite a bit of flooding across the ground floor of the shopping centre.

Feel sorry for all affected, but glad I live in a part of Scotland that doesn't suffer too badly from adverse weather.
